What it covers क्या कवर होता है

A hazardous goods vehicle is any motor vehicle designed or used to carry a "hazardous substance" as defined in Rule 9 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 — i.e. a substance notified under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and the MSIHC (Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemicals) Rules, 1989. Broad classes: petroleum products (petrol, diesel, kerosene, naphtha), LPG / CNG / propane / butane, flammable gases and liquids (ethanol, methanol, acetone), oxidising / corrosive / toxic chemicals (acids, bases, chlorine, ammonia), explosives (gelatine, nitrates), and radioactive material.

Hazardous goods vehicle — वह motor vehicle जो Central MV Rules 1989 के Rule 9 में परिभाषित "hazardous substance" ढोने के लिए designed या इस्तेमाल है — Environment (Protection) Act 1986 और MSIHC (Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemicals) Rules 1989 के तहत notified। मुख्य classes: पेट्रोलियम उत्पाद (petrol, diesel, kerosene, naphtha), LPG/CNG/propane/butane, flammable gases/liquids (ethanol, methanol, acetone), oxidising/corrosive/toxic chemicals (acids, bases, chlorine, ammonia), explosives (gelatine, nitrates), और radioactive material।

Policy wording sample"This policy does not cover any loss, damage or liability arising out of the use of the vehicle for the carriage of goods classified as "hazardous" under Rule 9 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, unless a specific endorsement to that effect has been added to this policy and the additional premium thereon has been paid."

Verdict

Confirm the vehicle fits Rule 9: look at the RC body-class (e.g. "Hazardous Goods / Tanker / Bulker"), the goods actually carried on DOL (bill of lading / consignment note / fuel station delivery slip), and whether the policy itself carries a Hazardous-Goods endorsement — many standard commercial-vehicle policies EXCLUDE hazardous goods unless specifically endorsed with additional premium. If the vehicle was found carrying hazardous substance but neither the RC nor the policy says so — it is both an RTO offence and an insurance mis-declaration.

पक्का करें कि गाड़ी Rule 9 में आती है — RC body-class ("Hazardous Goods / Tanker / Bulker"), DOL पर असल में ढोया गया माल (bill of lading / consignment note / fuel station delivery slip), और policy पर Hazardous-Goods endorsement है या नहीं — कई standard commercial-vehicle policies hazardous goods को specifically additional premium के साथ endorsed न होने पर EXCLUDE करती हैं। अगर गाड़ी hazardous substance ढोती पकड़ी गई पर न RC न policy पर यह लिखा है — यह RTO offence भी है और insurance mis-declaration भी।
