Frequently asked questions

What goes into a final survey report?

A final survey report usually covers insurance and vehicle particulars, the accident and survey details, the parts and labour assessment, depreciation, the summary of assessment, recommendations and the survey photographs, with the supporting documents attached.

Does the software calculate depreciation?

The final report lets you choose the settlement type (cashless or non-cashless) and a depreciation mode, such as age-wise depreciation, and works the assessed amounts through to the summary. Always review the figures before issuing the report.

Can I import the garage estimate?

You can upload the garage estimate or invoice to the survey; the report uses it to help fill the parts list, which you then assess line by line.

How are photographs laid out?

Photos are placed on sheets with running numbers and captions showing the stage, date, time and location. You choose what to include.

Can I edit the report like a Word document?

Yes. The report opens in a word-processor style editor with fonts, alignment, lists and spacing, and can be exported to Word.
