Who can register, and what you will need
The marketplace is built for businesses that buy damaged vehicles or their parts: local kabadi and scrap dealers, used spare-parts dealers, rebuilders and body shops that buy repairable shells, metal recyclers, and Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs). Individuals buying for personal use are better served by the public Scrap Market, where every approved listing shows the seller's contact.
Documents for verification
- GST registration certificate, if your business is registered for GST.
- PAN of the business or the proprietor.
- Shop establishment or trade licence, where your state or municipality issues one.
- Owner's identity proof, such as Aadhaar (mask the first eight digits before uploading).
- RVSF registration, if you operate a registered scrapping facility.
Images and PDFs both work. Files are stored privately and are opened only by the admin team while checking your profile.
About RVSF registration
Registration on DigiSalvage is a marketplace profile, not a government licence. A Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility is registered with the competent authority of the state government under the Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021. If you hold that registration, add the number to your profile so surveyors and insurers can see that end-of-life vehicles can be scrapped with you and a Certificate of Deposit issued. Good practice when buying salvage
- Inspect the vehicle before paying, and match the chassis and engine numbers with the papers.
- Confirm with the surveyor or insurer who is selling: the owner (net-of-salvage settlement) or the insurer (salvage transfer).
- Keep written records of the sale, the transfer forms and what happens to the registration.
- For vehicles that will not return to the road, use a route that ends with the registration cancelled.

Is registration free for scrap buyers?
Yes. Creating a buyer account, building your profile and making offers on listings does not cost anything on DigiSalvage.
Do I need to be an RVSF to register?
No. Kabadi and scrap dealers, used-parts dealers, rebuilders and Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs) can all register. If you are an RVSF, add your registration details so surveyors can see it on your profile.
Why do I need to upload KYC documents?
Surveyors and insurers need to know that a buyer is a genuine business before they share a vehicle. Documents such as your GST certificate, PAN or trade licence are seen only by the Digitaliiisla admin team for verification and are never shown publicly.
When can I make offers?
Once the admin team verifies your profile. Until then you can browse live listings and complete your profile.
Who sees my phone number?
Your phone number is not shown in the public directory. A surveyor sees your contact details only after accepting your offer on their listing.
Does Digitaliiisla take part in the sale?
No. DigiSalvage connects surveyors who post salvage vehicles with verified buyers. Inspection, documents, payment and transfer are settled between the buyer, the seller and the insurer.
