Geo-tagged survey photos

GPS photo stamp camera for insurance surveyors (geo-tagged survey photos)

Take survey photos inside DigiSurvey and each one is stamped when it is captured, with the date, time, GPS location and address. You can also add a mini map, the claim and vehicle number, the survey stage and your firm's logo. Choose what is printed once, and it applies to every live photo.

How it works

Stamped at the moment of capture

  1. Open the stage

Open the survey and choose the stage: Spot, Primary Survey, Under Repair or Reinspection. Tap Live Capture.

  2. Tag and shoot

Mark photos as Fresh Loss or Old Damage if you need to, then shoot. The time and address show live on screen.

  3. Stamp burned in

Your stamp settings are printed onto the photo as it is saved, with no extra step afterwards.

  4. Filed and synced

Photos are filed under the stage and uploaded, straight away or later if you have no signal.

Photo stamp settings

Choose exactly what goes on every photo

A live preview on a sample photo shows the result as you change each option. Only live-captured photos are stamped. Documents and uploaded files stay plain.

In the field

No signal in the workshop basement? Keep shooting.

Your stamp settings are kept on the phone, so stamping never waits for the network. Photos and documents are saved on the device and upload by themselves once you are back online. The mini map and logo are drawn when they can be loaded. If the map cannot be loaded, the photo is still stamped with the time and GPS, just without the map.

Many insurers ask for photos with the date, time and location on them, and a consistent stamp makes your photo sheets easier to check. It supports your record-keeping but does not replace it; see the surveyor compliance guide. The same stamp is used on photos a customer takes through a self-survey link. Photos you capture from a live video survey are watermarked too.

Where

GPS coordinates, the address (full or short), altitude, compass direction and a mini map.

When

Date and time from the moment of capture, in the format your reports use.

Which case

Vehicle no., claim or survey no. and the stage name, so a loose photo still identifies its claim.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the stamp added to uploaded photos too?

No. Only photos taken with Live Capture in DigiSurvey are stamped. Uploaded photos and documents stay plain.

Does the photo stamp camera work without internet?

Yes. Your stamp settings are stored on the phone, and photos are saved on the device and uploaded automatically when you are back online. The mini map is added only when the map can be loaded.

Can I put my firm's logo on the photos?

Yes. Switch on Logo in the photo stamp settings, or use the Detailed preset. The logo is taken from your profile.

Can I change the date and time format?

Yes. Choose from four date formats, 12-hour or 24-hour time with or without seconds, and GPS in decimal or degrees-minutes-seconds.

Will my stamp settings be the same on my phone and computer?

Yes. They are saved to your profile and also kept on each device, so every live photo uses the same stamp.

Can I mark a photo as old damage?

Yes. Live Capture has Fresh Loss and Old Damage tags, so you can separate pre-existing damage from the current loss while you shoot.
