Break-in insurance inspection — guided, GPS-stamped, report-ready.
Put a vehicle's condition on record before you cover a lapsed or new policy. The owner can do it by secure link or you can capture it on site — every angle is guided and stamped, and out comes a QR-verifiable pre-inspection report on the surveyor's letterhead.

Know the vehicle before the cover starts
A break-in inspection records the vehicle's identity and visible condition on the inspection date, so a lapsed or new policy starts from a clear, dated baseline instead of someone's word.
Condition on record
The vehicle's identity and visible damage are captured and dated before cover begins — a baseline for the policy.
By link or on site
Send a self-inspection link to the owner, or capture it yourself on site — whichever the case and the insurer's rules call for.
GPS + time on every angle
Each photo is stamped with its location, date and time from the capture itself — not added afterwards.
Guided break-in angles
The owner is walked through the standard angles, identity shots and documents in the order insurers expect.
Owner-signed declaration
The owner signs the break-in declaration — name, signature, time and location recorded with the case.
QR-verifiable report
The finished PI report carries a QR code anyone can scan to confirm the document is genuine.
Simple enough for anyone to run — and it goes out as yours
Nothing to install, very little to type. The app does the writing and the report carries your firm's name — not ours.
Your logo & letterhead
Every report carries your firm's name, logo and licence number. It goes to the insurer as your document — DigiSurvey's name isn't on it.
No app to install
Runs in any phone browser — nothing to download or update, for you or the customer. Open the link and start.
Report in minutes
Scan the documents, check the values and the report fills itself on your letterhead — ready in minutes, not days.
Fill from the RC or RTO
Scan the RC & DL, or look the vehicle up by its registration number from the RTO — make, model, chassis, engine, fuel and more fill the report. Re-survey a vehicle and its saved details return on their own.
Hindi, many languages & voice
Send the inspection link with the message in Hindi or the owner's own language — and fill the report by speaking instead of typing, in the language you pick.
Anyone can run it
Guided screens, big buttons, ready presets, auto-fill and voice input — very little typing, so any member of your team can complete a survey.
A break-in inspection in four steps
Open the PI case
Start a pre-inspection case with the insurer, branch and the vehicle being proposed.
Link or visit
Send a self-inspection link to the owner, or capture the vehicle yourself on site.
Guided angles
The owner (or you) is walked through each required angle, identity shot and document — every photo GPS- and time-stamped.
Checklist, declaration, report
Mark the parts checklist, the owner signs the declaration, and the PI report is ready on your letterhead.
The standard break-in angles, in the order insurers expect
The pre-inspection preset asks the owner for these items. Untick any that don't apply — the report prints the photos in the same order.
- Corners & sides — front-right, front-left, back-left and back-right corners, and the full left and right sides.
- Identity — engine with the registration plate, the embossed chassis number and the RPM / odometer reading.
- Underbody & boot — the base from the front and the open dickey or CNG kit.
- Glass & documents — windshield inside and out and the sunroof if fitted; RC front & back and the previous policy.

Frequently asked questions
What is a break-in / pre-insurance inspection?
When a motor policy has lapsed or a new policy is being issued, the insurer wants the vehicle's current condition on record before cover starts. A pre-inspection (PI) captures that — the vehicle's identity, visible condition and documents on the inspection date — and produces a report the insurer can rely on.
Can the owner do the break-in inspection themselves by link?
Yes. The owner opens a self-inspection (PI) link in their phone browser — no app, no login — and is guided angle by angle, with each photo GPS- and time-stamped. The surveyor reviews the photos and issues the report. For cases the insurer requires in person, a physical or live video inspection is used instead.
What does the pre-inspection report contain?
Case and vehicle details, a parts checklist marking each part Intact, Scratch, Dent, Crack, Broken, Missing or Not applicable, a recommendation (Recommended, Recommended subject to a condition, Not recommended or Referred to insurer), the owner's signed break-in declaration, and captioned, GPS-stamped images — all on the surveyor's letterhead as a print-ready PDF.
How is the pre-inspection report verifiable?
Every photo carries its date, time and location from the capture itself, the owner signs the declaration with their name, time and location, and the finished report carries a QR code anyone can scan to confirm it is genuine.
Which insurers' report formats are supported?
Pre-inspection reports are produced in formats ready for New India Assurance, National Insurance, United India Insurance and Oriental Insurance, on the surveyor's own letterhead. DigiSurvey is independent software and is not endorsed by or affiliated with these insurers.
Does DigiSurvey decide whether the policy is accepted?
No. Each insurer has its own break-in rules — which vehicles can be inspected by link and which need a physical inspection, and which damages must be excluded. The surveyor follows those rules, reviews the photos and issues the report; DigiSurvey does not decide acceptance or send anything to the insurer on its own.
Can the report be filled without typing?
Mostly, yes. Scan the RC and DL and the vehicle and document details read straight in, or look the vehicle up by its registration number from the RTO. You can also dictate into any field by voice in Hindi, English and other Indian languages — most of the report fills itself and you review the values before submitting. (RTO lookup needs the API key to be set up.)
